TMC receives ISO9001. [Sep 2009]

Audio, video and lighting design and installation experts, TMC have recently been awarded with the ISO 9001 status.

The decision for the application for ISO 9001 accreditation, has been driven by the increased number of large scale projects that TMC has been asked to become involved with. Since TMC's involvement with the Governments' Building Schools for the Future Initiative, requests have been flooding in for TMC's expertise to design and install sound systems, architectural lighting and interactive visual effects for numerous construction projects.

Working with some of the leading property development companies and highly respected architects, TMC chose Keighley based BTAL and began the process for the accreditation in March of this year.

Natasha Fishwick of TMC commented "Achieving the ISO9001 status has been an important development for the growth of the business. Our existing systems were already very compliant, so as such we didn't need to cause too much upheaval. However now having a recognised accreditation that demonstrates our cohesive internal systems and consistently good levels of service is hugely beneficial for the types of companies that we are now dealing with."

TMC is now undergoing application for ISO14001 for environmental management and systems which is the next in line for completion.

Dark Arches come into the light. [Sep 2009]

Leeds Dark Arches Project Completed by TMCBradford based, TMC have completed the Dark Arches project with triumphant acclaim.

The Dark Arches project was announced in January 2008 by Bauman Lloyds with plans to artistically illuminate the notoriously dark and dingy tunnel system to make a far more pleasant environment for pedestrians and drivers alike. However the project fell into hard times when the main contractor, Wrekin Construction, went into administration.

New contractors, Saferoad plc, approached TMC when they were appointed in February 2009, to take over the technical design and installation of the high spec equipment to create soundscapes and architectural lighting effects.

TMC's extensive experience of illuminating and installing sound systems for non conventional spaces led to them recommending the custom Tryka LED lighting system, incorporating Meyer audio technology to ensure sound clarity in this challenging space.

Chris Smith commented "This has been a great project, not only to be improving an area not too far from our own door step, but to be involved in such a non conventional environment."
